What SSL Certificate types are on offer from Geotrust?
There is a range of SSL Certificates from Geo Trust that can first be categorized into three groups:
The GeoTrust Domain Validated range is suitable for individuals or organizations needing an SSL Certificate fast and with a low cost.
You will only be required to prove ownership of your domain name prior to the SSL certificates' issuance. You can have your new GeoTrust SSL issued within 15 minutes from your ordering and configuration.
The GeoTrust SSL Business validated range is for organisations needing to provide that extra level of trust to their customers. It will show your validated business details ( such as your geolocation ) in the SSL certificates, with the Site Seal showcasing extra information where needed.
The GeoTrust True BusinessID Extended Validation Certificate range is suitable for organisations needing to show their visitors that they are a business in good standing and with all the appropriate registrations.
It will show your organisation details to your customers, and let them know you have gone through an extensive verification process. The EV range also has the highest warranty on offer from GeoTrust.
You then have the Certificate to choose from, for the features you require:
These GeoTrust SSL Certificates will secure a single domain name. If you secure the root domain, it will also secure the www-version of your domain for free. Example: It will secure domain.com and www.domain.com
These GeoTrust SSL Certificates will allow you to secure your main domain (domain.com) and any sub domain (*.domain.com).
It is a great choice when you have multiple sites or services such as: mail.domain.com, ftp.domain.com, shop.domain.com, blog.domain.com etc. They are available as the GeoTrust SSL TrueBusinessID Wildcard or the QuickSSL Wildcard.
When you have multiple domains, or sub-domains, a GeoTrust Multi Domain SSL Certificate will allow you to secure them all without having to issue multiple GeoTrust SSL certificates.
You can secure completely different domains under different TLDs, or sub domain under the same root. Some are also compatible with wildcards to allow for any sub domain. You could secure: domain.com, domain.com.au, sub.domain.co.nz, *.domain.com
